The Fridge Phonics system from Leapfrog is a great way of introducing toddlers to the Phonics system of letter recognition. Th clever little widget with its magnetic letters now has a permanent home on my fridge, is interestingly un-annoying, and already has Ella knowing her 'Buh' from her 'suh'.

Waiting for review... Lamaze Eddie the Elephant Tunes
This gorgeous, soft elephant is already a hit with Ella. In theory (though we have yet to figure out how) we can record her 'music' efforts and play them back! Typical Lamaze bright colors, patterns, crinkles, and easy-to-press buttons on the trunk.

Waiting for review... Summer Infant All in One Potty
Potty training.
Sigh.
I have avoided it as long as possible. But I think this potty landing on the doorstep is going to hasten things. I've done it three times before... you'd think a fourth time wouldn't be too much trouble wouldn't you?
But.
I know the Constant vigilance involved (and the laundry), and am weary at the thought.
Still, this potty looks brilliantly designed, Ella is already very keen to sit on it.. so fingers crossed. I'll let you know how she gets on!

Blog Love - Keir Royale

As we said earlier in the week, the oh-so-pretty daisy tucked away on the LittleStuff home page is a not-so-secret link to our random blogroll - the perfect place to stop when you have a coffee in hand and need a five minute distraction.
However, it's a bit of a pot luck random click, so you never know where you'll end up. With that in mind we thought we'd start mentioning here some of the posts that catch our eye - our very own Blog Love blogroll.
This one from Cathy Keir caught my eye this week - any parent of a Club Penguin-er will surely grimace in recognition of our own Parental Penguin failings...

eeps, we're behind... | 0 comments»
We have so many gorgeous items sitting here waiting for their reviews, and we haven't told you about any of them. So I shall try and be ree-e-ally good this week, and give them all a Coming Soon Blog-shout. It's the new site palaver see? Knocked our perfectly efficient office rhythms completely sideways.
So. Watch this space to be first to read about all the gorgeous new things we have lined up...
In the meantime I'll leave you to duly admire the baby girl, who turned TWO recently! How does that happen?!!

The Daisy was a mistake...

I don't know if you've spotted yet, but that pretty little daisy on the LittleStuff home page is a secret hyperlink (though I'm guessing not so secret now...). The twist is that every time you visit us, it will take you somewhere different - to the best Mummy blogs we know. They are the very best we can find - and I have a sinking feeling it may have been a huge mistake.
I can't resist them y'see.
I just can't help clicking the daisy occasionally, and then find myself losing 15 minutes snorting over another Mothers efforts to get her daughter to wear something other than pink, or to get her toddler to eat anything green, or trying desperately to remember the organised, efficient, fun grown up she used to be...
So next time you visit LittleStuff, whatever you do - stay away from The Daisy!

Here's what the industry thinks of our new look...
What they're saying...
"I think the new site looks great!" Danni, Dorel UK (makers of Maxi Cosi, Quinny, and who have chosen to include LittleStuff in the all new Kub Nursery launch this weekend; we will have an exclusive competition prize on our pages very very soon! )
"oh, oh OH! I LOVE the new site, it looks just amazing - you have done a brilliant job. Completely different from all the other sites, really have spent far too much time browsing around it!" Jess, Silver Cross (some great new Silver Cross product reviews coming very soon).
"I’ve had a quick look at your website and it looks great! We would be happy to arrange to provide a free 5oz Breastflow Bottle to all your expectant mum visitors for the rest of the year." Elizabeth - the First Years
"...the new website. It looks fab!" Tanya Walker, PR to Baby Blooms and Bright Starts.
"I just love the new look site - I feel like I just had a coffee break!" Yvonne, PR to Hauck.

Launch Day!!!!
HUZZAH!!!!!
At long long last we can reveal the new face of LittleStuff! And because neither of us has the slightest bit of energy or inclination left to set up the LS facebook page yet, we'll tellyu all about it here!
All you non-LittleStuff browsers (shame on you) can find us here:
http://www.littlestuff.co.
Do go have a look (hint: there are secrets on the home page, and you can refresh and spot the surprise, too), and let us know what you think. All comments welcomed - unless you hate it. In which case just call it 'nice' ;)

Launch -1!!! Labels: celebrate, competitions, launch, new logo, new site, rebrand. | 0 comments»
Okay, tomorrow is the Big Day. LittleStuff celebrates its 4th birthday in a couple of weeks time, and we decided it was time for a change. So... The all new, all singing, all dancing, all shiny LittleStuff will reach your screens. In fact, for some people they'll be seeing it today!
Katy and I are oh-so-excited... and oh-so-nervous too, its a very different design, and we just have all fingers crossed that you love it too!
Here's a sneak preview of the new logo...
We're also moving emphasis slightly. More and more we're being asked about the 'tweeny' age range - those out of nursery and into school. 6-11 year olds seem a little under-served online, so in the best and most helpful tradition of LittleStuff, we're doing as we're asked and expanding to include those too. As well as keeping up with our pregnancy/baby/toddlers of course.
please please please do have a look, let us know what you think... and keep your eyes peeled as there'll be a whole goloptious full up pot of competitons coming soon to celebrate the launch of the brand new look :)

Mother & Baby love our reviews :D

A few weeks ago now I had an email from the shopping editor at Mother & Baby magazine. She had seen our blog images of Ella reviewing the Spotty Otter wellies (taken by the incredibly talented Courtenay Hitchcock at RunningJumpingClimbingTrees), and wanted to use one as the lead image on a feature they were running in the March issue on wet weather toddler gear.
We reviewed the wellies for the fabulous Little Hiker (this months Featured Supplier, and one of Laura's all time favourite shops - remember she's growing the family of free range outdoor-reared mountain goat children), along with a Spotty Otter waterproof coat, and we have some amazing kids hiking boots coming on the new site.
It's on sale today - look out for Ella!
