The bebePOD Review

Now, I'd not tried one of these seats before. Despite all the intense pressure, I'd somehow managed to raise 3 boys without one - and all of them figured out how to sit up, all by themselves. :O
But, Prince Lionheart wanted us to review them so we said we'd give them a try.
Katy's already a convert, using the Bumbo seat on a regular basis at her Mums & Tots group, so she was happy to compare the two. Apparently she prefers the bebePOD - it's roomier, for a start, so you're not left lifting your child out of it, then prising the seat away from their bottom with your foot whilst balancing on your other leg. It's a very elegant dance some of you may be familiar with, performed in homes and Mums & Tots groups across the country.
As for me - well, I put Ella in it when she reached the 4 month minimum age bracket and she looked ridiculous, I have to say. Though she didn't fall out, she did a very unladylike sideways slump, whilst grinning inanely and flailing her arms uselessly about.
But just this morning I popped her in it to try again (at the grand old age of 4 months and 3 weeks). She loved it - as you can see! She sat quite happily lobbing her toys just out of reach so that I could stop working and hand them back to her every 5 minutes. She seems to like being more upright than the bouncy chair allows - and I think the older she gets the more she'll love it.
Have to say that my skinny-ribs Joe (who's 5) can slip in and out of the seat with ease. Though the more solidly built Toby (4) needs it peeling off his bottom once he's forced his ample bottom in there...

Just in case...

... you're wondering, we don't only do reviews - I'm just trying to catch up on the blog posts, cos I've been slack :)

Dribbly-Dudes bandanas

Katy was chatting with Helen at Dribbly-Dudes about the new bandana style bibs and Helen wanted us try some out and do a review.

I have to admit I was dubious about the appearance - cowboy-style bandanas would be pretty cool on baby boys, but on a girl?
Katy wrote the review, raving about how great they looked on Ben and more importantly how practical they are... I kept quiet and remained to be convinced as to how nice they would be in my still-a-novelty-to-dress-in-pink baby girl.

But I'm happy to admit i was utterly wrong. How cute is my baby girl???

Wilkinet - ye olde faithful!

Oooh, I love my Wilkinet! I've had one for years - since I was pregnant with son no.3. And it was essential! He was born on 22nd December - this is him attending his very first christmas dinner (they're ANTLERS, before you ask. And yes, traditional cook-the-turkey attire round here), and then 10mths later out on the moors of Northumberland.

So needless to say we were happy to give a huge 'thumbs up' for the wilkinet on LittleStuff. And I sent the ever-doubtful Katy a new one to try. Mr Katy was muchos amused by her attempting to figure out the straps, and whilst not seeing it replacing her beloved Quinny, she can see how it would be incredibly useful (and has been strangely reluctant to pass it back again...)
